Our 15-Minute Orientation Film Offered every 30 minutes in the Visitor Center, this film is the perfect introduction to Hillwood and to our founder, Marjorie Merriweather Post.
Docent-led, Audio and Printed Tours All tours at Hillwood are included in the suggested donation. We offer various options to suit your preference and pace.
Guided Tours Tickets for hour-long docent-led Mansion and garden tours are offered on a first-come first-served basis upon opening each day.
Tuesday–Saturday

Garden tours are offered twice daily in the spring (April 3 through June 9) and fall (September 6 thru November 13) at 10:30am and 12:30pm.

Late fall/winter garden tours are offered once daily September 4 through November 9 at 12:30pm. In the event of inclement weather, please note these tours will be cancelled.

Mansion tours are offered daily at 11:30am and 1:30pm.
Printed Tour (Self-Guided) Our printed tour is perfect for the guest with limited time. It provides an overview of each area of the Mansion and gardens, while highlighting a few significant collection objects. These tours are available in English, French, Russian and Spanish.
