A VISIT TO HILLWOOD
GUIDELINES FOR VISITING
To preserve Hillwood's collections and gardens, and to ensure that everyone has a fabulous visit, we ask that you remember the following:
| • | All ages are welcome in the Mansion & gardens. |
| • | While visiting the Mansion, please check coats, cameras, backpacks, and shopping bags at the coatroom. Umbrellas and strollers must be left outside the entrance. |
| • | Turn wireless devices off or set them to vibrate while touring the estate. |
| • | Enjoy the art with your eyes and mind, but please do not touch. |
| • | Visitors are welcome to take informal “vacation style” non-flash photography in the Visitor Center, Mansion, all garden spaces, and the greenhouse for personal, non-commercial use. Please refrain from any photography in special exhibition spaces (Dacha and/or Adirondack Building). Details on Hillwood’s photography policy and wedding photography packages are available. |
| • | • Visitors are welcome to bring food and non-alcoholic beverages. Food and beverages may also be purchased at the Café. Please consume food or drink at designated picnic areas or at the Café. |
| • | Watch your step in the gardens, as some of the natural stone is uneven. |
| • | When in the gardens, please stay on the designated paths and do not pick or gather flowers or plants. |
| • | Smoking is permitted near trash receptacles fitted with ashtrays. |
| • | Service animals are permitted on the grounds. No other pets allowed. |
