Art Research Library - Archives - Art Collection Gardens - SHERA - Related Sites Hillwood Museum and Gardens is home to SHERA, an association of academics, independent scholars, librarians, museum workers, students, and others who share an interest in the visual and material culture of Russia, the nations of the former Soviet Union, and Central/Eastern Europe. The Society sponsors a number of efforts aimed at improving research circumstances for scholars and fostering contacts among members.

Three times per year, the Society publishes the Bulletin which provides information on lectures, conferences, research opportunities, conditions at various archives and libraries, essays on the state of the field, and an extensive bibliography of recently published materials in the field. SHERA also hosts a panel at the annual meeting of the American College Art Association. The cost of membership includes a subscription to the Bulletin and an annually updated membership directory. |
