Biography - Collector - Legacy

Art Collectors’ Personal Museums
Hillwood Museum and Gardens is an "art collectors’ personal museum." This distinctive type of museum can be a home, estate, or exhibit space created by collectors who acquired objects of artistic significance and international importance. Each collector created unique collections with unique trust instruments. They all, however, house art collections of worldwide significance, were founded by serious art collectors, and were left to the public to be experienced within the ambience created for their display.
