Sparkle Tour

On December 6 & 7,

Hillwood members will have a never-again opportunity to see legendary icon, Elizabeth Taylor's fabulous collection of cherished jewels, fashion, art, decorative arts, and memorabilia as we embark on a private tour at Christie's New York.   On our two-day tour of New York you will also have the opportunity to see:

Hats: An Anthology by Stephen Jones.  “The exhibition, which had over 100,000 visitors at the V&A, displays more than 250 hats chosen with the expert eye of the master milliner.”  On view at the Bard Graduate Center, this riveting show features hats old and new, including an example or two by Philip Treacy, who frequently worked with Alexander McQueen.

Picasso to Koons: The Artist as Jeweler at The Museum of Art and Design. Guest curated by Diane Venet, these 180+ masterpieces were done by artists who were better known for painting, sculpture and other works rather than their jewelry.

International Art Jewelry at The Forbes Galleries.   This collection of Art Nouveau, Art Deco and other jewelry is the newest installation at the Forbes—and isn’t the timing perfect?!

Visits to Verdura and Cartier with members of their staffs.

We’ll travel to, from and around New York by chartered bus.  For this trip, you may choose to stay with the group at the Muse Hotel, a Kimpton property, or make your own overnight arrangements.

Basic cost, excluding hotel, is $445 per person.  Included: bus transportation, two lunches and dinner, all admissions, and a copy of Christie’s souvenir publication.
